About the event
My Life My Say and Groundwork London are teaming up to host a Democracy Café for World Environment Day! Join us at Newham College (Stratford Campus) on the 5th of June from 5:30-7pm for a reinvigoration of the 17th-century coffee house tradition, where members of society would come together and discuss local issues.
Democracy Cafés offer a unique opportunity for young people (aged 18-30) to meet and discuss the issues that matter to them. Throughout the event, we will encourage everyone to discuss barriers facing young people and brainstorm solutions to make change in their communities. And, as always, every attendee will dive into these discussions over some free drinks and snacks!
