Mete Coban MBE

Mete Coban MBE became the Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy in July 2024, overseeing the Mayor’s world-leading climate action plan for the capital. Before this role, he served as a Councillor and Cabinet Member for Climate Change in Hackney. As Founder of My Life My Say, Mete has been instrumental in making politics accessible to young people. He led the Give an X campaign, registering over 488,000 voters before the UK General Election in July 2024. He was awarded an MBE in 2020 for his work with youth.
